Washington, Europe Brief News – US Rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, declared intention to run for US president in 2024.
The US star posted a video of his campaign logo to social media, alongside the caption Ye 24.
He also claimed to have asked Donald Trump to be his running mate.
West previously ran for president in 2020, but that campaign flopped, attracting a meagre 70,000 votes.
Kanye West, who recently changed his name to Ye, has faced several scandals over his recent behaviour.
He was blocked from Instagram over ‘bullying’ in spat with Pete Davidson about Kim Kardashian.
He has been banned from sending any messages or posting on Instagram after his latest outbursts on the social media platform.
As a reaction, Adidas ended all ties with Kanye West over his ‘antisemitic’ remarks.
The sports brand said it “does not tolerate antisemitism” after Instagram and Twitter suspended his accounts over offensive posts.
The decision follows a nearly decade-long relationship between the German sneaker giant and the rap superstar.
The company said recent comments and actions from West had been “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous. It further said they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness”.
