EBN- Spanish press reports revealed today that Zinedine Zidane continues to reject offers after leaving Real Madrid more than three years ago, despite receiving more than one offer recently.
Spanish newspaper “Marca” headlined, “1306 days without Zidane sitting on the bench. The Frenchman continues to reject offers since he left Real Madrid, while his technical staff began to disperse all over the world.”
The newspaper said: Zinedine Zidane case is considered an unusual case in football, as he has been absent from the bench for more than three years, as if he silently abandoned a career in which he succeeded with Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018 and from 2019 to 2021, as the French coach won eleven titles.
She added: Manchester United, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have made several offers to the coach in recent years, but the Frenchman has always rejected the offers, as he considers it a matter of loyalty. The coach does not see himself managing any team other than Real Madrid, but he will agree to return to the bench if he receives an offer to coach the French national team.
Marca continued: Zizou’s ideas are clear, he is working through two projects, Real Madrid and the French national team, while at the club level he will not coach a team he did not play in during his career, a project could bring the idea back to his head but it has not appeared yet.
She added: Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester United have contacted him in recent years, and his response was “No thanks.”
She concluded that despite his absence from the spotlight, Zidane still engages in football-related activities, as he spends most of his time in Madrid with his family, where he is keen to follow up on his children’s studies.
Zidane also pays regular visits to his football academy, the Zidane Five Club, in the south of France, with great interest. This academy is a project dear to Zidane’s heart, as he aims to develop young football talents through it.
