The Argentine footballer will not leave Le Parc des Princes this summer, said the player today.
Although rumours circulated about his return to Italy, the 28-year-old will keep wearing the navy-blue jersey for another season – at least.
Mauro Icardi joined Paris Saint Germain on loan in the 2019-20 season. Last season, the player officially signed a transfer contract with the French club.
Icardi put in 20 appearances with PSG in his first season, scoring 12 goals. He played a stunning season, especially in the Champions League.
However, the player picked up an injury that kept the player away from the pitch last season.

Rumours linked the player with Juventus as a return to the Serie A. The Italian club was looking for a swap deal, with the CR7 involved in the agreement.
The Old Lady is not the only club interested in the Argentina international. Roma, as well, was putting the player on their radar. The player, in turn, shattered the hopes of the Italian clubs.
On Football Italia and replying to an IG fan who asked whether he will stay at PSG, Icardi wrote, “This season, the next and the next!!! That has never been in doubt!!! Come on, PSG.”
It seems that the player preferred staying due to the uncertain future of the French superstar, Mbappe. The latter has been on Real Madrid radar for a long time, but now the Spanish club may begin talks with PSG.
PSG administration is not sure that Mbappe will stay, as the player’s contract expires in 2022. And he later told the club he may not be signing a new contract.
That suggests the player could be walking away this season, except for the coming of Sergio Ramos. The newcomer could change Mbappe’s mind.
The two players shared a talk on the training pitch, and reports suggest that Ramos told Mbappe to stay. Ramos intend to win the Champions League with PSG.
